I rewatched an old classic, In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar Wai with this beautiful Yumeji's themed song; so evocative of more, of longing, of love.
It is one of the longest seeming movies to watch. There is not much action, little dialogue. The music and the body language are the main stars here. Look into her eyes when he passes and you know how she feels, you know what she wants but cannot express. See her body jolt ever so slightly with excitement when he brushes past her.
It is all about subtleties, the details that on first glance seem nothingness, arbitrary even. But just so it seems. Every still is a collage of assembled deeper meaning.
I am mesmerised by how impossibly elegant she ascends or descends the stairs. By her dresses, her elegant neck pronounced by the high neckline of the shift dresses.
