Inbetweener Mint (posted on 22/01/2012)

I love this sherbet color. Though Vera Wang has been using this mint color sparingly, I see some potential for the 2012 spring-summer season. It is sophisticated enough to be subtle and daring enough to be a bit of a color-burst. It is an Inbetweener. Bear in mind that mint does not always work all-over. The dress above (bottom pic) works as it combines silk satin on the top and a silk chiffon on the bottom and thus creates an interesting amalgamation of fabrics in mint. The jacket is a pain though. Combine this dress with a white blazer and some heels and you are ready to go. The mint jacket (top pic) is a fabulous day piece which can work very well with a white pencil skirt and heels or even some slacks in navy wool. The dotty see-through skirt is also rather an eyesore.
