Giambattista Valli’s fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection had me salivating for most pieces but especially for the simple, yet oh so chic pant and two-tone vest look. It does not shout for attention with colour or flamboyant flair of exuberant lines but rather subtly, quietly, still fiercely draws one’s attention to its sleek tailoring.
This is perfect androgyny. Only in the slight flaring of the lower half of the vest can one detect a feminine touch. But Valli cleverly solves this conundrum by styling this look with an extravagant necklace thereby balancing, elevating this almost too sleek and chic look to the devine.
