Dino Streetsyle

I love this picture. Don't you, dear lovely chicette?
The traditional among you will wonder, has The Chic C gone ballistic to advocate such a look.
Where is the joy if not at the base of all things within yourself! And the self, or rather the fashion conscious self, expresses its happiness, satisfaction and utter joy in life through its clothes.
But its not just joy that really grabs hold of my attention here, it was the woman's dino outfit. And not only that but also her stance or rather movement which is expressed in her lifted left foot and the movement within her hair. In true streetstyle photographer fashion she was snapped while she was passing by - busy, obviously, she seems to know where she is going.
But she is not too busy to give us, unacknowledged intruders, the curious on the sidelines, in this moment of being stopped momentarily a smile. An exaggerated smile no less as she is dropping the head slightly backwards.
To me she speaks the language of confidence which isn't necessarily spoken through literal words and sounds, but rather silently here.
I like her for she enjoys life and its little moments. She is grateful and seizes the moment to become seen and recognised as the girl with the dino outfit and the velvet Mary Poppins pumps; the lady that stops in life, which is oh so busy at all times, and it must be, but she doesn't mind that moment sharing it with the photographer.
We don't know him but I wonder if he prompts her or even flirts with her, guides her and directs her to this beautiful shot. Or maybe he isn't. Maybe he is part of a cattle herd of photographers that snap what's special, worthy of sharing. Maybe it is all her here in this shot and she is the one guiding 'silently' and she has such a good hold of life's pleasures. She knows what's meaningful.
This shot calls out to life and says I love being alive, I love my body, I love the world - the good and the bad. But implicitly we understand that she doesn't let the bad bother her here.
And life should be seen and, most importantly, lived just like that.
