J.Crew has not ventured into producing cosmetics or skincare. So beware.
But with this post I wanted to draw your attention, dear lovely chicette, to the utter perfection of the makeup being used throughout on J.Crew's models.
Take my example above. The embellished sweater is divine by the way, but the seemingly clean face, which has just 'the right' amount of foundation and blush to appear healthy, beautiful, lit from within, with little colour use it appears.
The application of the makeup and the resulting look here is not an accident or so it is supposed to seem.
Note how earthy colours such as bronze, beige, cream, light rose, champagnes are used to mould the face and give it contour. The lips seem to be flushed from within, where really a strategic swipe of a warm pink just in the center and then brushed off so not to appear too done is the answer. It is a clean face with very well placed highlighter and contouring powders. The wash of bronze on the lids is simply genius.
The clothes are in focus or are they?
On closer inspection I find myself wanting the clothes and the makeup.
