There is something intriguing about David's sharp look.
His eyes, their menacing character, fascinate me. Obviously, he means no harm, but the gentleness of Victoria's gesture as well as her soft, beautiful face and exposed back and then his eyes, which seem so dominating but also protecting at the same time. To me his eyes are an expression of his protection for his love, his family, his life, even his privacy. It's as if they are saying, "So you are watching us? Don't dare come close. I am on guard.
This cover beautifully showcases the good as well as the bad, the beautiful and the ugly highlighting that a true world, a healthy world, a human world relies on BOTH to be. It is just a cover that presents us with perfection, it does that too though!, but closes the circle and does not negate the opposite of such a utopian desire for perfection, the flaws.
Nice.
