Let's make something clear here: These looks won't guarantee that a guy will offer to buy you a drink!
But there is something dreamy, beautiful, ethereal here that I find mesmerizing. These pictures feel like mini installations where the direct message of 'buy now' is rather subtly woven in and not directly shouting at you and aggressively attacking your system.
Here something different takes place and that's why it's so interesting that the pictures for this editorial are for How To Spend It.
My very favourite of all of them is seen at the top. The gold leaf wrapped gently around the models head giving the illusion of a sole head; thus drawing our attention to just that and the stunning face with makeup that is out of this world. I love how light and shadow has not only been used in the makeup but also in the positioning of her and then in the actual lighting of that particular scene and shot. Note how she looks into some warm light off right. She is almost seeming to want to move toward that light, even though this might just be a felt intention which is not (yet) realised. She is coming from darkness (exaggerated) and is drawn to the light.
I sense there could be something special and that is why she directs her gaze toward that particular side. Her hear is ever so slightly tilted toward that side. Maybe she is subtly trying to hear what is spoken there...
Beautiful
