Let me start with the positive, I usually love La Roche-Posay. But when I started using this to compare it to my beloved Paula's Choice Retinol product I was stunned how much the LRP one stunk. I need to warn though, my nose is extremely sensitive so I can detect scents even if a normal nose would not notice it. Yet this scent here literally bothered me before I had put the cream on my face. I unscrewed the lid and bang it stunk. Nevertheless I went ahead and tried it for 3 odd nights and not only the heavy fragrance but also my skin broke out on a few crucial points.
So unfortunately, this is a pass. As it is so much more cheaper than the Paula's Choice cream I really wanted it to be as or even better but sadly no; its a fail in my opinion.
