Salma Hayek - AKA wife of Kering CEO Francois-Henri Pinault - was recently featured in Glamour magazine. Ever since seeing a documentary on her I am intrigued to find out more as she has led a fascinating life with incredible choices. I admire her wisdom, intelligence and strength.
So in this recent interview Salma mentioned influencers. One of whom is Arianna Huffington.
Salma states: "Arianna represents the immigrant's story: she's Greek, came to America, and became one of the important voices of the country. And she is so fierce in her support of women." This resonates strongly with what I feel myself as I know what it is like to leave the comfort of home and living abroad as well as being a woman, a mother and happily working.
Success does not come without work; women who work very often trebly harder than their male counterparts or even their female child-less counterparts.
Strong women standing up for strong women; age and culture do not define chic nor intelligence. One is born with the latter two and it is up to 'me, myself and i' to do something with them.
MAKE IT HAPPEN
