Not really, if you ask Apple folk. Those buying Apple stated in studies the design of the product ranked top as reasons for buying.
The gem above initially caught my eye exactly for this fact: the design which echoes the iconic heritage of Hermes (naturally, obviously) but also incorporates playfulness (the string) as well as the humorous juxtaposition of adding perfume into the horseshoe glass flacon.
