Everything is Illuminated (posted on 20/11/2011)

Everything is illuminated in this Cushnie et Ochs spring 2012 ready-to-wear look. But do we want that? Does it do anything for chic, style and luxury? Most likely not. The designers have wisely opted for only three looks in this yellow and two of those are dress looks, where the sunshine invasion can be reduced with a blazer, etc. But here in this crazy bright yellow all-over look, one is hit by this luminous color yellow and it leaves one with a shock to the system and a realization that this is solely a trend for the exhibitionistes among us and not for the chicettes.

I have started appreciating the effects of illumination colors. But when it comes to style only black, blue, brown, grey, white and beige can be used as canvas or all-over colors and not neon bright colors. Those please use sparingly. Otherwise you will look like a walking street light.
