What a beautiful look.

It might seem like a traditional, stuffy look with the fur vest and scarf, the boxy leather bag, the kitten heels and the pencil skirt. To me the woman above is the personification of a Prada woman: sophisticated, rich, playful, elegant with an underlying cool factor.

These looks are so out there, so striking, they just have to be chic even though they border on crazy would a any other person wear them.

If you look closely you can see that she has the chest of a white overweight polar bear woman. The face below is mesmerizing though.

A duck as an accessory? 

I would have seen it and 'understood' it had Miuccia Prada decided on a bloody duck. 

But Alber Elbaz??

As a matte of fact, the entire ad feels like a Prada ad to me. The subversive hair a la Edie, the extravagant fur coat just thrown over causally, the glossy bag, silky shift and the pop art necklaces....all very Prada indeed.

Where I associated Lanvin previously with jewel-colored silky shifts paired with glossy jewellery and noir makeup. This is a shift towards fun and irony in the everday lux, the successful wave Prada has been on for a while now.
