Staying true to his design inspiration of copying God, the autumn-winter 2011 collection of Roberto Cavalli’s diffusion line “Just Cavalli” shows fresh, youthful and easy looks reminiscing of the sea’s waves, flowers blooming and sandy dunes. Fiery reds next to blushing pinks seduce the heart into thoughts of youthful ease.
My personal favourite is the jeans and top combo. The jeans shirt is particularly appealing with its whimsical and quirky design and shape. There are delicate ruffles throughout the upper part of the arms as well as on the bodice's centre contrasted with a blue colour gradually darkening towards the collar. Cavalli took the workwear classic and turned it into a chic casual alternative, where the top has the potential to be a stand-alone piece worn on its own or combined with a leather skirt or shorts.
