For those who have not realised how much snakeskin (real or faux) is around for autumn/winter, here is my personal favourite: the snakeskin boot.
So you do not look like a Crocodile Dundee remake, it is best to choose a boot that has snakeskin details that are subtly chic rather than overwhelmingly in your face. Considering the damage real snakeskin does to one's purse as well as the wealth of great lookalike options available, I would choose a leather but faux-snakeskin option.
Two of my favourites are by Zara (photo, left) and Prada (photo, right). In terms of style, both boots are stylish and chic. I personally would go with the Zara boots as they come in an elegant beige faux snakeskin on the back and black suede on the front. They look luxurious, chic and unique.
The Prada boots are cut in the most chic way possible. They are tight-fitting on the calves and have a very beautiful heel moulded ergonomically to mimic motion. They look like a pump with an ankle strap but really are boots. This is a creative detail combined with the artsy colour "baby blue". Though I find that this play with creativity in colour and design takes away from the boot's chicness overwhelming the boots with its inherent artistry.
Also, the Zara boots (£119) come in at a fraction of the Prada boots (£1150), which makes them a lot more attractive considering value/style for money. At the same time, I do like the Prada boots, especially if they were to be available in a cream with black heel. This colour combination would be absolutely fabulous in this design.
